Andrea Gumushian, Associate

Andrea’s practice includes advising emerging technology companies on compliance with US and foreign privacy laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act and EU-GDPR. She helps companies navigate the evolving regulatory and public policy landscape surrounding data privacy and security.

Andrea is a member of the California Lawyers Association Privacy Law Section. She sits on the Legislative Committee, which tracks privacy bills moving through the state legislature and works with state lawmakers to provide comments on proposed privacy laws.

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Andrea was a privacy and mobility associate at a Midwest law firm, where she advised leading electric and autonomous vehicle companies on privacy and general regulatory matters. Andrea also spent over two years on the legal team of a leading SaaS provider to the automotive and insurance industries. She has experience supporting entities bringing software products and services to market.

Life Beyond The Law

Outside of the office, Andrea serves as a co-chair of the Washington, DC, chapter of Wellesley College Friends of Art. She is an avid runner and former ballet dancer.
