Arent Fox Announces 2018 Diversity Scholarship Recipients

WASHINGTON, DC - Arent Fox LLP is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Arent Fox Diversity Scholarship. Each second year law student will receive a $20,000 award and participate in the firm's 2018 Summer Program.

The scholarship will be paid in two installments: $10,000 during the student's second year summer and another $10,000 paid when the student returns to Arent Fox as an associate after graduation.

The following students demonstrated a commitment to learning and practicing law at the highest level:

  • Christine Chong (University of California, Berkeley, School of Law) – SF Office
  • Alfredo De La Cruz (George Washington University Law School) – DC Office
  • Tenese Lockhart (William & Mary Law School) – NY Office
  • Sung Soo (Steven) Yoon (University of Southern California Gould School of Law) – LA Office

“On behalf of the firm, I congratulate Christine, Alfredo, Tenese, and Steven for their strong applications and for everything they have already accomplished,” said Chief Diversity Officer Chris Norton. “They join a long line of distinguished recipients of our Diversity Scholarship, and we very much look forward to working with them next summer.”

Since 2006, the firm has annually awarded a scholarship to law students in the Washington, DC and New York offices. In 2008, the scholarship program was extended to students in the Los Angeles office and this year the firm is awarding a scholarship for the first time to a student working in the San Francisco office.
