Kamanta regularly advises clients on how to best protect and leverage their trademarks and other intellectual property assets. As an advisor to clients in the media, technology, fashion, beauty, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries, Kamanta uses her skill and experience in the areas of trademark law, copyright law and complex litigation to assist clients in establishing, protecting, defending and broadening their rights in various brand assets, leveraging her experience with trademarks, copyrights, internet domains, social media, and new technology. 

As an experienced litigator, Kamanta is no stranger to contested disputes.  In addition to litigating complex commercial disputes in multiple state and federal jurisdictions, she has litigated trademark and copyright disputes before courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, achieving valuable settlements on behalf of her clients.

Kamanta is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and formerly served on INTA’s Right of Publicity Committee.  She is also a member of the Copyright Society of the U.S.A. and a former member of the Fashion Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section.

  • Successfully defended software development company in copyright and trade secret litigation brought by software programmer.
  • Successfully litigated trademark infringement action on behalf of Ukrainian clothing brand. 
  • Defended esports competition organizer against claims of trademark infringement brought by former NBA athlete.
