World Trademark Review Names Arent Fox a Premier Trademark Firm in DC for Three Straight Years
Washington, DC — For the third consecutive year, Arent Fox’s Intellectual Property practice has been recognized as a leading trademark group in Washington, DC by World Trademark Review.
Arent Fox’s team of attorneys has established itself as an industry leader for its “contentious and non-contentious services,” WTR noted, while naming the firm as one of only two in the DC-area to its “Gold” band. In WTR’s “The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals 2013,” the publication reported the group is “renowned for its impressive levels of client satisfaction and successful management of cross-border assignments.” In addition, the publication highlighted the “nationally acclaimed” work of Anthony V. Lupo and “top litigator” Michael A. Grow.
In lauding Mr. Lupo, WTR wrote that he is “famed across the United States for his deft handling of transactional, prosecution and litigation work,” while a source noted that he is “a real go-getter who seizes the best possible outcomes for his patrons.” Mr. Lupo has a diverse intellectual property practice that operates at the intersection of e-commerce, fashion, and media and entertainment. He serves as strategic counselor to leading companies in those industries on their trademark and copyright issues.
WTR reported that Mr. Grow is “strongly recommended” and that his “deep knowledge and global outlook make him a premier choice for both domestic and foreign companies.” Mr. Grow focuses on trademark and copyright litigation and represents many leading entertainment companies. He also serves as a member of the board of directors and on the executive committee for the International Trademark Association.
Arent Fox features one of the most highly regarded Trademark practices in the country, providing clients with a full range of services, including: assisting in developing brand selection strategies; analyzing and assessing brand adoption risks; developing broad scopes of protection for new brands; assisting in maintaining consistent trademark usage; and expanding and protecting existing brands to prevent competitors and third parties from using confusingly similar brands.
The WTR provides a “Gold” band to firms and attorneys who prove to be the “crème de la crème”andthat “attract the most positive comments from sources.” The recognition “hinges on reputations established over lengthy periods of time,” which enables the “Gold” band firms to “secure the most high-profile, big-ticket work from the most demanding of clients.”
The WTR is the only standalone publication to recommend individual practitioners and their firms exclusively in the area of trademarks. Ratings are based on extensive interviews with industry leading clients, lawyers, and law firms. Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process.
